Default 4.5" lift to 7" with spacers?

i have a 4.5 lift on my 90 XJ, could i buy 3 inch Spacers and get longer shackles or blocks to make it 7.5? This jeep is only for offroading so i would get longer control arms later on down the road. would this work with my current setup? i have an adjustable track bar already on it as well as extended brake lines and SYE. only thing i would need are adjustable arms, i have fixed rough country right now.

I believe the trackbar you have is likely good for 4-6" of lift so I doubt it would work. Also what driveshaft are you running it might be too short. 7" of lift is a lot of lift. Also spacers that big are not the best option (rusty's 6.5" or 8.5" are both only $149 and a 1" spacer is much better than a 3" spacer); however to each their own I suppose.

i have a ironman andy track bar which goes up to 8" of lift so that is fine. im going the cheap way right now. it hardly goes offroad.

Then you are good on the trackbar and the driveshaft if you do not articulate much. I will warn you though that spacers handle like crap on the road. Believe me I understand the budget aspect but you may want coils after driving on spacers for a while.

offroad spacers may work ok but on road the handling will be garbage.

what size tire do you have? and why do you feel you need to add 3'' to your height?

Control arm drop brackets, keep the control arms you have now your trac bar should be fine and cool spacers. Its offroad only so you should be good
