yea 32's and 7.5 lift is needed! you are going to be more stable right where you are. Just trim more if you are rubbing and keep it lower to keep it on all fours. Add the lift if needed when you get larger tires.

high COG is not good. The only reason you need more lift is to fit gigantic tires. I'm sure most people will agree that fitting the biggest tires on the smallest lift is best. You can fit 35's on 4.5" of lift with proper trimming (iceland offroad flares). 7.5"+ is for serious rock crawling and gigantic tires are a must to justify that.

 

I have 33x12.50 on 4.5" of lift and could fit 35's. I might rub some when really articulating but I still have plenty of metal I could cut.

I mean if you want 7.5" of lift go for it like I said to each their own. The guys above are just trying to tell you that high COG is not the best and that the reason people generally lift more is to fit tires that they cannot fit on their current lift even with cutting.

 

if you're planning on getting long arms "dont the line" just save up and get them first
then stuff those 35's in and start saving for some real performance parts.
there's really no point to lifting to 7" just to ruin your flex and steering angles and COG

I think behemothXJ did a proper 8" lift. it's not cheap to do it the right way and doing it the wrong way is just a waste of time and energy

 

as said you are opening up a huge can of worms. Save your money buy quality parts and don't look back. Cheaping out will not save you money in the long run as you will be unhappy and end up buying the right parts eventually.

 

maybe i'll just put one inch, i like to ford deep water...

 

Install a snorkel and better sparks, wires, etc. You can cross water with more peace of mind.

yeah and you can also run 38's on stock axles were just full of good ideas here

i ran 4 inch lift with 2.5 spacer with 2 inch blocks only issue was RC lift rode stiff for over 5 years worked fine

 

Go for it. You have your own reasons. People need to respect that.

Around where I am from everything is sky high on blocks. I always was told they were dangerous until I watched all these rednecks around here beat the **** out of them.

Lift that sucker up then when and if you can afford it gear it and get larger tires. But that's a whole other ballgame.
