This might sound like a stupid question or maybe a good question. I'm leaning more into a stupid question but I'm still gonna ask. Has anyone done a 3rs row seat on an XJ?

 

Cargo area not tall enough for a 3rd seat.

 

you might be able to fix mounts for a tj seat back there, but with no footwell, it will only be good for kids.

 

hmm that actually might be kind of cool. you might have to sit indian style, but it would be awesome to see it done. almost would be cooler to have it facing back to back with the factory rear bench seat so you can just hop in and out of the back hatch. I'm down to see someone do it, lap belts and all!

 

yup. and the tj seat is designed to be removed with no tools in less than 30 seconds.
you would probably need a full cage to fix the shoulder belts, but it is totally doable.

 

the seatbelts would go into the same metal the rears do already.

it would be cool but thered only be room for little ones. and then all your cargo space is lost!

 

What the **** is a 3rd row seat?

 

A third row of seating.... like a suburban has 3 rows of seats

That almost looks factory. Especially the release lever to tilt the middle seat forward.

 

Thats cool. Looks like if I was a passenger I rather sit there with the middle seat folded down like in the pic so I could stretch my legs and lounge.
