Driveline vibes are bad. I did my lift kit, and drove a total of maybe 200 miles, and it trashed my ujoints, rear pinion, and broke the seal on my t-case causing all of my fluid to leak out...

I have since installed a 1" drop with plans to do an SYE some time next year.

You don't even need to pop the drum off. Just move the star wheel from the backing plate.

"IF" it is in fact an adjustment issue and not something else.

If you were just adjusting it to normal tension I would totally agree with you. But to turn the adjuster back taking the drum off seems like it would be worht the effort, especially since its been removed recently.
