Your reading comprehension is quite poor my friend.
You dont need frame stiffeners to install a locker, I never said that. I said its recommended to do it as Atmos said aswell.
But hey, bend the crap out of your unibody if you want. Not my problem.
While you're at it why dont you throw some 37s on your stock suspension and wheel a lunchbox locker in your D35 with them too.

I guess I should just be scared to do anything. I have 35's on stock gears and wheel the crap out of it, I guess it's about to die huh. Even though it's been running for years that way. OH and it is bent and still runs straight, and all the doors work, so yea it's my problem.
I said frame stiffeners for me because its easier to install them for me when my jeep is still straight. I've already bent one jeep all to hell from rock crawling and that was only one 31s. doesnt mean every jeep will do that, I'm just saying it can happen so why bother letting it happen when frame stiffening is so damn cheap. Grab some metal, weld it in. Done. Peace of mind.
Same reason you do maintenance on your jeep isnt it? I know a guy that drove literally 2 years with no issues without doing a single oil change and he was driving 60km per day every day. So by your logic, he could do it, so why bother doing oil changes right? See how silly that is now?
I'm all for building it cheap, which is why I'm an advocate of running stock axles, doing maintenance, some preventative stuff like extending breathers, dielectric grease, etc, putting big tires on and go out and have fun.
When people show off their shiney suspension parts they spent thousands on I laugh because I could have built basically the same thing with junkyard parts and a couple brand new parts. for 1/4 the price.
So again, before you go off your rocker accusing me of telling people to spend tons of money, read my posts first.

Look I already apologized for it reading as I was coming off as being a d^%$.
your post was
You should have them before you wheel it anyway. Its the first upgrade you do to an XJ.
And why with lockers? because you're putting more stress on the unibody.
So you come back with an insult, acting like I am some dumb hill jack, so be it you have your opinions as well as I do.

2. I have very low tolerance for BS on the internet anymore so I tend to skip right to being a dick.
3. I do stand by my statement, you are putting more stress. Its recommended, however not a REQUIREMENT. Now clarified so this doesnt go completely off the rails.
Anyway. on topic to the OP
Recommended upgrades
4:10 gears to help with the lack of power from spinning 35s
frame stiffening, twisting up your frame on 35s is tough, locking makes it worse so might aswell do it now.
steering box reinforcement
Carry spare shafts from a upull.
Should be good now.
