I'm planning on putting a set of 33x12.5/r15 BFG AT KOs on 15x10 rims with 3.75 offset on my 99 Cherokee this weekend. I current have a 2" lift, and I'm not afraid to cut the fenders I know I'll have too. I'm just wondering if somosom had run this set up before and if they have advice.
Another question, I'm from Canada so I get a fair bit of snow. I'm wondering if the 12.5" tires will cause me problems in the snow. I've heard some people can have problems losing taction especially on ice. The bfgs have the snowflake so they're rated for winter use. Just wondering if the wide tire will cause problems.
i run the same tire with a 3" lift and i've cut the fender/wheel well as much as possible and gone to home made flat fender flares. they still rub when turned all the way. not horribly, but they rub. not the best pic, but you get the drift.
I've mounted them without cutting or taking the stock fenders off. I'm definitely gonna run into rubbing problems as it'll rub on the back of the front wheel well. The back won't rub till I flex or hit a bump. So I'm gonna end up trimming both probably.

Oh, it's gonna require some cutting , alright. You are either gonna have to bumpstop
limit that to where you have maybe 2" of compression or trim, cut& manipulate the front & rear
quite a bit if you plan on trails usage. Post updates since it's gonna be interesting seeing what's
required to be removed .
Bumpstops limit the up travel on your suspension. There are a couple different companies that make different bumpstops you can add. With those tires you could probably just trim the flare and run it no worries
Don't have any closer photos but this is what it looks like rn, need to cut the front a bit more cause I rub while doing sharp turns. Also need to put flares on to cover the tires as I'm from BC and you have to do that here. Wish I could leave it like this.
It looks fantastic !
for it to truly perform optimally at that ( cool ) height ( lift) would really be best w/ tons.
I'm mean eventually...it's funny because OP did a good job + color lends itself to hiding changes a bit better...it's is rockin but for such big meats , when lcg doesn't permit lift , you cant cut too much more ,yer not yet at 72"-74" housings ,so ....ya
pretty much are gonna wanna get real appropriate height bumps or canister bumpstop if youre going to see any trail time , yeah?
So I ended using garden liner for my flares, turned out really good. I like the look of the flat fenders without having to buy bushwackers haha. I have more detailed photos if anyones curious on how to do it. I have lots more work before it's trail ready again gotta bash some more metal and change to bigger bump stops. But for right now I'm not gonna get pulled over for not having flares anymore.
