LOL, you are more happy then I am I am sure... it was the only way without a spring compressor on them. you did remove your lower shock bolts right before doing it on that sside?

Also, yeah the driver side shock bolt is tough up top, just take a 15mm wrench, those bolts shouldnt be torqued down too mcuh, only like 20ft lbs. PB the top of the threads, hell even take a wire brush to them so once you crack that top nut loose you can just take it off by hand! thats what i did with mine, just gotta watch the shock will want to spin too, gotta keep a hand on that too, might be helpful to get someone on that.

Hold the very top of the stud with vice grips then use a wrench on the nut.

Man I must have large hands or something because I cannot get anything down in there. I rigged up a contraption with a huge extension, a universal joint, and a open wrench socket type thing..got it loose but still cant back it off iwth my hands..PITA.

LoL. Yeah I didn't know why you were having such an issue with it cause I put a wrench in by the intake manifold and could turn it a ood bit. Now I feel your pain. Lol. The airbox should come out easy like said.

On my 1997 the only real way I was able to get that shock bolt was with a Gearwrench. It wasn't fun - that's for sure.

You may be able to unbolt the MC and move it out of the way enough to get a better line on the nut.
