you need to compress that spring more... I put mine under a buddies truck and ever so slightly lowered it down onto it. Was able to get more coils on the compressors. Just be really careful.... it was surprisingly stable but nevertheless dangerous if you slip up and lower the jack too fast

it will bro..... again... I only did this because I had NO way to get the jeep home if I couldnt get the spring in buttttttttt.
place your spring under a truck or suv preferably, and slowly, and God do I mean slowly lower the jack handle onto the spring..... that will compress that bad boy and than you very carefully place on your spring compressors.... it will allow you to hook 5-7 coil winds instead of the 3-5 you normally can. You have to remember those rented spring compressors are probably for small passenger car springs, maybe light duty trucks... not tight wound lifted jeep springs....

I forgot and im lazy, cause I am already on the reply screen, but did you go full leafs or AAL? if AAL if should be easier because you wont have to undo the main spring and can leave them mounted, If you have full leafs, i wish you all the luck in the world.
I personally thought my front was way easier than the back. but I dealt with horrible things in the rear.. lol.
Good luck with the rear, and not that i want you to take the front apart, but those shock boots look a little funny, and actually its recommended in most instances to not even use them. They trap dirt/mud. just a thought.
lots of heat and PB may help you in the rear. use lots of heat and pb on the upper shock bolts. there is a farely large opening beside the upper shock bolt in the frame. i would spray PB in there, alot of it and aim it at the bolts. Use heat and try to just crack them loose, then tighten, use more heat loosen a bit again. I mean a tiny bit, go back and forth and throwing heat and PB in the mix. this may let you get them out without breaking, if they do break you will need to get a hammer and punch to knock out the weld nuts and fish new bolts through the frame.

I've got aal..simply cause my rear isn't sagging at all...do the rear shock mounts just bolt straight in or is there something else in there?

The leafs with plenty of WD40/PB should be OK. The upper shock mounts are a pain in the *** though. I've done 2 Jeeps and all but two bolts snapped on both.
On the topic of upper shock mounts... when I did mine I used the old rear roll bar mounts as a BPE like this:

I just used the old ARB bolts but it's not a particularly snug fit on the bush so there's a wee bit of movement and therefore a very light knocking there. Is there a shim I can use or what do you guys do to support it a bit better?
