you dont need to remove that torx bit at all. dont even try. the only reason to try to get that bolt out is to put in quick disconnects. that bolt is splined and pressed in, the torx head gives an illusion it will come out, it wont. you just need to crack loose the nut on the back side, its an 18MM. you are only loosening this nut so you can rotate that sway bar link down and out of the way while raising/lowering the axle.
thats cool about the jack, you can actually take the lower part of that jack handle and use it as a breaker bar. I am assuming that jack handle is in 2 pieces together, just take it apart, use whatever one will fit over the handle of a ratchet, instant breaker bar. thats what i did on my jeep.

take off your brake caliper so you dont extend the line, remove the jack from the axle. go to the driver side, jack it up, should drop that side pretty low, you can use your foot on the hub for leverage to push down a bit further. the only part the spring will try to get caught up on is the lower sway bar link mount there with the torx bolt.

Converted..I know your happy that I removed those links..haha..Got my passengers side totally done..Dont know how to get that drivers side top shock mount out..cant get anything down in there..Took some beating to get my new coil in on the passenger side..Tons of compression and a good kick at the end and it slipped in.
