This is why the stock cams with the 1.7 roller rockers are near ideal with stock head and intake maniflod.
Hey CobraMarty, is that you from jeepstrokers too?
Thanks for getting back so quickly
So what about one with in the lower power band? Or am I just pushing my luck with a cam until I crank and bore?

Yea it's me. IMHO stick with the stock cam and it will make peak power just below 5000rpm. You are not ever reving above 5000rpm with auto or 5200 rev limiter for the manuals, why cam up and shift the power curve higher in the rpm range?

I want to do exhaust header too but that again is another slight predicament, due to the 2001

You should do a write up or post some pics on here of the install. Where did you end up buying them from?

Glad to hear its running well!

does yours have the cats in the manifold? if not you have a few options, if it does then I wouldn't bother until one goes bad.

So after a day driving, still notice the difference? Worth it?

I don't think so. I have checked before but I can never quite remember. I just don't recall being able to see them

Here it is

Nothing too crazy as far as results go. However, it feels worth it because though there is no slap you in the face gains, everything (low end, high, idle, etc) feels quieter, tighter, and slightly quicker. All of that adds up so an overall much happier felling/sounding engine

I would definitely do it again

I guess i also forgot to mention that gains would be even more noticeable if i had had 410 gears to match my tires
