Default 1989 Cherokee suspension

I don't know much about suspension or steering but the top pic there is a plate that the spring rests on in between the axel and spring. The bottom pic there is no plate and the spring rest directly on the axel. The whole vehicle leans lower to the side where there is no plate under the spring. It also doesn't steer or handle very well at all on the road. If this isn't right are there any parts I could buy ?

Yeah slap in some new spring perches or change out the axle. New perches aren't too difficult just wrenching and welding:

The place to find those coil buckets is in vendors that have builder parts. Or if you are handy in the shop they can be built. Either way it will have to be welded in

What does the part look like? So I can buy it and weld it in.

I used Barnes:

Artec is another one. Few others.

Also read my link. Rusty's is another brand and/but it's REALLY thick. The steering stabilizer mount on Artec was a little eh. Thought could be better.

Here's Rusty's. 1/4" thick, IMO overkill. And you still need to find a stabilizer mount:

Artec, see what I mean about the stabilizer bracket:
