So I've seen a few posts on craigslist and from word of mouth that the JK rubicon (red) shocks will bolt on a xj? any one out there has this done on their Jeepies?

You need a little lift because they are longer but they looked like they would bolt in just fine when I pulled them from my dad's jeep.

in stock configuration they will still fit, only if you don't wheel your jeep. I changed mine over to JK shocks and they fit fine. but if you are doing some moderate to heavy wheeling you will bottom them out.

I have the black non rubicon ones on my 5 speed with 2.5 lift in front and 2" in rear.... I often would bottom out on the rear on slight bumps. Never had to bottom out in front though.
The ends would need to be changed to a xj configuration. Either re using stock bar pins or BPEs.
