i keep being told jeep engines are noisy.i know my new engine now has a little chatter when in drive.how many make noise and whats the mileage.

Yes, it makes quite a bit of noise. It's got 130k miles. I hate quiet cars! Too hard to tell if they're actually started or not.

Traffic, in the absence of engine noise, is a potentially frightening, even dangerous proposition.
When you cross the street, your first impulse would be to look left, right, and then left (depending on whether vehicles pass the right or left side of the street). Noise from oncoming cars will alert you that you shouldn’t cross yet. What if the oncoming car isn’t making any noise at all?

Yeah 118K here and there is a slight lifter noise. Was worried for a while but every 4.0 I have heard has the sound to some degree. My buddies 4.0 GC makes mine sound like a Prius. . .lol
