Still trying to figure it out can't seem to find a video but from what I read it plugs into the harness under the side panel but then I was thinking I guess u would need two and it just seems easier to cut the wires and run them the way you did it.unless you wanna spending another 68$ on 2 harness kits ya know.

Plus I actually tow so I need to keep my harness open.

I've only seen these on pre 97's. Is there a housing for 97+..??

drilling into your stock tail light housing defeats the entire purpose of the offroad light shown in the first post of this thread. they don't do it just to say they have led lights. when offroading, tail lights are a very common thing to break. the proper boxes (like that first pic) are stronger metal replacements, designed to take trail abuse. smack that corner on something, you're more than likely still going to have some functional lights.

spend time and money drilling into your factory lights and smack them on something offroad? they're going to shatter, leaving your shiny new lights just dangling around in bits of debris.

I break these so much I keep spares in my rig. Drilled and all. Goldennnn

Very good point ! I was looking at the housings that jcr make I will most likely just do that and get cheap tail lights
