Yes even my 88 yj had that crap up there an it was annoying as hell. It's not like it was bad enough to have to waste your time unbolting an working on the crappiest tranny jeep ever used (puegot) but to have to deal with those bolts too! Thanks for the kick in the nuts jeep lol

To fit bigger tires and if you bend a metal rim on the trail you can hammer it back, can't do that with aluminum

97 and newer models:

The stupid center Defrost vent for the windshield , if I sat on my center console it would be a great idea
Full front door windows, I hate em, I have to have my rear window down in order to have my front window down to avoid ear aches (never was a problem on my pre 97 cherokees).

The factory seats, I had no leg room, and no head room, I switched to AMC era seats, problem solved, lol.

Washer jug in the fender well rather than under the hood .

Other than that I'm happy

most people don't get that big of a tire to justify new wheels, and how often have you actually seen a wheel break? I have seen aluminum wheels take a hell of a beating with no ill effects. Every steel wheel i have seen bent always wobbled after it was "straightened" causing rapid tire wear.

Hey its your money spend it how you like... but it is still one my pet peeves.
