For that matter, why for the love of ***, if the aw4 trans runs so hot, did jeep not put a trans cooler on all the xj's?

They did. It's a standard water-water cooler within that radiator. You can VERY easily add an auxiliary air-water cooler in line with the radiator one for additional cooling. Pick one up from the junkyard.

But I still want to know why did jeep get rid of the xj in the first place.
Im pretty sure they shut down the XJ to make way for the liberty. Didn't think they could sell the libertys over an XJ.

The Xj was such a solid vehicle and with how far things have come in the past decade without xjs imagine the possibilities of them now, a possible rubicon package , a hemi, a sturdier frame. The revival of the Xj would prove very beneficial to jeep..

Umm. K there are only three things I will let my Jeep be Generalized as.

1. Jeep
2. Truck
3. Cherokee

It's a truck. Really, you shouldn't care. Because what is there? Cars and Trucks for most people

My Jeep Isn't a car by any stretch of the imagination

I doubt it, they would probably make it into one of those car-jeeps with four wheel independant suspension and like no ground clearance. They would have to remake it the right way or not at all
