Default XJ help needed BADLY

Ok sobi am quite new to this whole thing and let me appologize in advance for the grammar. Inonly have my phone and no cpu so typing is off lol. Butbi have a 98 xj with d35 rear axel i **** to upgrade or swap to the chrysler 8.25 so i can run slightly larger tires and gear it for the then hopefully lock itbin the near future . My question is , isbthat a safe way to go and does the 8.25 bolt right on and do i need to swapbthe front axel to something other than the dana 30? I just want to stuff a 3 inch lift on it with some 31 inch tires and i figure 4.10 gears forbthise tires just to give an idea of what my plans are. I just dont kno what to do about ghe dana 35 axel i dont hear very good things about it. Im new to the jeep thing i ran toyota for years but needed a family vehicle and now im in love with my xj and have the means to build it up a little now so any input would b awesome. And once again i appologize for the grammar and spelling

If you get the axel from another Cherokee it will bolt right up. The dana 30 will hold up. You should go with the chro molly axels in the 30 if you do any hardcore wheeling though.

If you're only planning to run 31's, the D30 stock will do you just fine, and so will the 8.25.
