Default XJ tool box and tools for the road/trail

Does anyone have a list of what a guy should keep for tools in an XJ for those road side/trail side repairs. Just looking for a reference guide so I can put a tool box in the back of my XJ

Sockets of all sizes with an assortment of extentions as well as wrenches. Make sure you have a 36mm socket for pulling axle shafts, torx bits, breaker bar, big *** hammer

Everything I can fit in my tool boxes. Full 1/4", 3/8", 1/2", and 3/4" drive socket sets, both standard and deep, 6, 8, and 12 point in both SAE and metric. As well as full wrench sets, SAE and metric, with standard, stubby, and ratcheting wrenches. Allen wrenches, torx, phillips, and flat head screwdrivers. 16 oz claw hammer, a couple small sledge hammers, wire cutters, wire strippers, vise grips, channel locks, needle nose and 90º angle needle nose, a couple magnets, picks, snap ring pliers. I can't think of anything else, but I've had plenty of tools to fix everything I've broken so far.

All normal tools but I'd say the most common missing tool for a common break is a 36mm socket like xj88 said

Don't forget a good jack, a hi-lift is a handy tool if you have good bumpers or sliders.

I carry a full set of wrenches, sockets, ratchets, extensions, u joints(1/4, 3/8, and 1/2). Also crescent wrenches, channel locks, electrical tools, screwdrivers, various tools etc. It all fits in two standard size toolboxes that I ratchet strap down in the back cargo area. Might be about 100lbs worth of stuff, but on Saturday my alt died from mud at an off road park: I pulled it, cleaned it, and was good to go in 45 minutes. I like the idea of being able to fix my rig and drive it home if I need to.

P.S. I have a PDF of the Chrysler service manual on my tablet, works good. FSM is Factory Service Manual, HS00
