True I agree but I'm talking like bare bone Q's. Such as "What do I need to run 35's" , simple as punching it in the search field and most likely they haven't even ran 31's.
And I understand that people get info from forums like this but a little research can help focus the questions more specifically and actually make the forums more informative and result in better search results. Don't get me wrong I love to just ask and have someone alse do the searching for me, but than that means I'm not really into this hobby.
Again its just my opinion, no offense to anyone.

I think this place is awesome.. I have seen 2 posts lately that IMO felt the flame suit had to be worn to be in.. I just don't like to see people disrespecting people for any reason..

I think this place is much better then almost any other jeep forum I have been on.. I sent my time on here daily (between my own forum and here) and I myself feel I have never been disrespected.. Maybe because I know how to post, maybe cause I have not posted up pics for people to nit pick on..

that is the only posts I have seen that suck.. and on almost any forum this happens.. When u post asking for people to look at something and get their opinion on it u tend to get answers u wont like.. HOWEVER more times then not u get some people that tend to OVER nit pick just to degrade what a person has done..

IMO thats crossing the line.. CONSTRUCTIVE criticism is ok.. anything else and your just looking to upset somebody

yeah I have to say this forum is by far one of the cleanest out there.

as far as the searching goes, there are SO many threads out there that sometimes it's far simpler to ask then try and sift through the hundreds of threads that may or may not actually have to do with what you're searching. some threads get way off topic from the OP, etc.... but maybe i just suck at searching? i am a newbie

that's the point, why should someone not feel free to post whatever he wants?

Ok my turn...as I read all the responses I have formed my own opinion...this is a jeep forum...isn't the reason for an avatar to personalize your profile to maybe get to know a lil about the strangers on the forum...to be honest it doesn't matter that I had to take it down...and popo just wanted a reason why...and was ban for this supposed disrespect....

Now I know there needs to be rules as far as things being posted that are not safe to look at at work etc and by no means did I think that my avatar violated these rules or I wouldn't have even posted it....

As far as choosing this site, it was not due to hearing good things or word of mouth...we googled jeep cherokee and this poped up...now this is just a guess but I am going to have to say that a majority of the members here must be teenagers because it is run like a school administration would run a site...

Maybe this is not the rite jeep information site that is best suited to us but we gave you a shot, not that you did the same for us...as far as the repetetive questions are you not here to help? Since you have nothing going on in any other areas on the site and nothing else is really allowed to be posted what is the point of the site? Thank you to all of you who helped with the questions we had but I guess you just don't like newbies and feel they need to be put in a catagory....

Maybe you should have a screening process so that you can select the people that will best fit in here...I am my own person I don't care I'd you like me of my man on the internet or in real life! Now I am done and I meant no disrespect....ha

I guess I have never felt unwelcomed even though I am pretty sure my question was asked at least once before but I could not find it anywhere while doing a search. The question I had was responded to very quickly and I did not feel as though there was any disrespect it may have been though that was my only question and the right person to disrespect it has not popped up yet.

As far as the disrespect goes though you are going to get that no matter what forum you go to.

the way to solve that problem is simply, if one of the more experienced members in here sees a thread he or she doesnt like, or cant believe it was just asked 2 days ago, then DONT open the thread...and if for some reason you DO open the thread its nobodies fault but your own...THEN, if you actually feel the need to say something, hey, there were lots of places you coulda stopped and backed outa the thread, you dont have to get snooty with the newbie just bc your to weak minded to JUST NOT OPEN THE THREAD...

anyways, that my .02...and no i did not mean any disrespect by this...not saying who does it and who doesnt do it...just throwing it out there
1,000xs. If you are tired of answering a question then stay off that thread. I've been getting ticked with some people on here about the way they respond to some of the newbs and me. I may start looking into other forums without the rudeness. Half the time you dont get a response here anyway or the response is'nt nice. Some people dont have time to sit and read 100 threads to find the answer. I've spent hours looking for an answer before. I'm not all that new but, I still put up new threads on already asked questions cuz of lack of time.I thought thats what we are here for , to help out fellow Jeepers.I'm sorry if I ticked anyone off but thats my feelings on this subject.

I agree 110% I go on other forums where if someone asks something the first thing out of the next poster is "SEARCH" .

IMO if u have enough time to read what he asked and to answer with "SEARCH" then u can take a minuted TO HELP A FELLOW JEEPER and point the OP in the correct direction...

I wont tolerate ANYONE doing that on my forum.. it burns me sooo bad.. IMO as far as a forum goes its one of the worst forms of disrespect..

The idea is to keep members, greet them and make them feel welcomed not bash them because u are lazy. if u don't want to help fine don't.. move on
