In the '04/13 edition of Consumer Reports Magazine the 1984 XJ is pictured in a segment titled "Trend setting cars that got things rolling"......how 'bout that.

It's commonly said that the xj platform blazed the trail to the modern suv. Because remember... It was (and still is) a station wagon. Lol

Something to be proud of

Know that feeling... When I bought my 95 none of my friends had jeeps. Almost instantly two friends bought a cherokee and one bought a wrangler. And then put my lift than what I had at the time. Lol had to one up me I guess.

It took me about six months to lift mine.

2 of my friends bought their jeeps and within 3 weeks they had lift and tires....

Well if it's the same scenario as me...
My friends had their parents to pay for everything along the way. I had to work for not only my jeep and parts.. But I've turned every nut and bolt myself. Never had any of them in the shop. And believe me.. When I got my first jeep I didn't even know how to put coolant in the thing. My friends picked out their jeeps/lifts and it was payed for and installed.
