Would this be a deal breaker?

Looking at this 96 4.0 5-speed. I noticed a spot in the rear passengers side wheel well. It's a shock mount that ha separated from the frame. It doesn't make the rear sag and doesn't move very much. I figured I can weld it back in place. And this jeep has 278,000 on it without a rebuild. Drive it yesterday and it still feels strong. Gonna drive it again today also.

Run away from that Heep.

See your other post concerning a fuel pump for a '96 XJ.

Yeah that's what I was thinking. Too many miles and some other stuff of concern.

Unless you want it for parts, back slooowly away. Rust is like roaches, when you find one, there's always a thousand more behind the wall.

If an insurance adjuster looked under that rig, he/she would total it instantly.
There is nothing you can do with it when it's that far gone including the frame-rails.

Yeah it was a pass on this one. Found some better ones just the owners are being pee pee heads.
