wiring up a headunit

wiring up a headunit
okay so i had a jensen headunit in my garage for a year or 2 now and i sold my truck that had my nice kenwood in it so i want to put the jensen in the jeep went and picked up a wiring harnes for it and it wont work. dosent turn on but i can eject cd`s out of it which i dont understand. any help is there a comon thing i neeed to do when installing one into a 96 cherokee ive only installed a headeunit once i did it right the first timeany help would be great. ps im sure i have all the wires going to the right place and the connections are good
