What has it cost you guys to tint windows and can you tint over the defroster on the rear hatchback glass?

 

I ordered a tint kit off of ebay for 15$....I used it on another car and worked great. Does not come with the spray and stuff though but walmart has a tint install kit for like 8$ so I guess 25$ and you got yourself some tint! As for other questions, not quite sure

 

Yes you can tint over the defroster wires. No issues there. I always have a shop tint my vehicles because they warranty it. I generally pay about 200 for all the windows.

 

X2, tint can be a real pain to work with, and the cheap DIY tint is crap. Well worth 200 bucks to not have to deal with the headaches and have a warranty.

 

yea my last XJ i had 5% put in all around with a strip on the top of the windshield. it ran me about $180. they did a good job.

 

it ran me 175 to get mine 20% on the front windows and hatch, and 5% on the rest.

I went with my friend to get his chevy 2500 retinted. Taking the old tint off and applying new tint was only $50 and took like 20 minutes. Good deal if I say so my self.

 

Well im definatley getting it professionally done. I just need to find somewhere to get it done because i live in the middle of nowhere.
