the guy made a mistake... yeah, the experience definitely keeps your rig "tire side down", but honestly this is not as stupid as trying to climb a steep angle and actually thinking that you can just pop it in reverse and hammer it back to come back down...
with a stock shifter no. i did see a guy at back door in johnson valley stand up on the rear wheels on top of the water fall on the rev limiter and slam it in reverse without leting off the gas. different shifter though, one of the craziest wheeling memories i have

im sure he learned to look out the window and see where the ground is lol

oh and you dont have to chop the top. when my neighbor smashes the lid on his toyota we bring it home and use the forks on the fork lift to pick it up by where the head liner should be and it straitens the roof back out sort of.
