This is why I keep mine on the road, but I wud have loved to have been the EMT to respond to that. 5 minutes to package good and about 10 pictures for what not to do!

in that drivers defense, he was locked and we all know when you're locked, it is so easy for mistakes to happen. he probably couldn't tell the front end was lifting.
it would never of happened if he was open.

^ I don't agree. He pulled the front up equally. He shouldn't have hammered it home but rather been a little more gradual on the power. When he stomps it the rear squats and just encouraged it.
This mistake equals unexperienced driver error.

@ Xjmuddigger: that's why I stick to roads... I love my jeep. However if I sue this insurance company again, I was a crawler! Right now, I stick to drifting and spinning my wheels in the snow and rain!

he had an auto trans and he shouldve used it to his advantage and barely given it any throttle, he hauled up the hill and his front tires used the tranny of the hill so to speak to lift off.
but yes i be he didnt know what was going on until it was too late because once you see sky its hard to tell how far you are really leaning

that's why you get the front strapped if you suspect that it might lift... but also, how many times have you tried to go up a rock like that with not enough throttle and all you did was, sit there and spin because you didn't have enough momentum to get going forward.
the guy made a mistake... yeah, the experience definitely keeps your rig "tire side down", but honestly this is not as stupid as trying to climb a steep angle and actually thinking that you can just pop it in reverse and hammer it back to come back down...
