You might need to look into getting a steering stabilizer to prevent the death wobble.

Also read through this and see if this fits your situation. Good luck.

A steering stabilizer DOES NOT fix death wobble. It merely a overs it up with a band aid while all your components get ruined. Does it feel like your front of of the xj is shaking too? Plus our jeeps are not really meant to do that kind of speed really. Remember its a jeep not a sports car.

Steering stabilizers are like morphine. If you have a problem it will make you feel like everything's great but in reality there's something wrong that you are just masking and not aiding like you should.

Steering stabilizer is not the answer. I'd go under the front and see how everything looks and feels. It could be as simple as a worn bushing. Also if you haven't had an alignment in a long time you make want to consider one, could have bumped something to throw it a little out of wack.

Ahhhh, no.

+1, Cherokee not really designed for inside lane Autobahn use.

Slow down save lives.

The sway bar will not cause a vibration. Have your tires balanced and inspect the steering linkage and suspension for worn or broken parts.

Yeah I used to get same. Front wheel offside (nearside) to you was out 160grammes, now ok even with recent lift and 31 tyres.

That's the perfect analogy right there.

Here's what you need to do - slow down. Isn't it breaking the law to do that speed anyway? In the lovely state of CA it is at least

Check all your steering joints. I had a bad wobbling sensation and it turned out to be a worn out track bar and worn out pitman arm.

When you steer at a slow speed is your steering really super tight, or is it like turning on a marshmallow?

Mine had a bad trackbar, and needed rotors. I still have a slight vibration. I am working on installing a lift kit right now so I am checking all the joints while I have it apart. A tight steering system will fix the problem. Steering stabilizers will mask it.
