Lift it 4.5" Wednesday and put my 32's on it.

After that:
Fight a lil rust and bedline some stuff.
Custom Longarm 4-link & OTK steering
Re-gear and maybe lock a diff or two
Custom front and rear bumpers
Winch
Take it camping in the Rockies...

Awesome I want a couple small light bars on my bumper, if I were to get a winch I'd need a whole new bumper. So probably won't do that lol. Noticed this was your first post. Welcome!

Plan to eventually put an offroad bumber with winch and brush guard and some fog lights. A roof basket with spare mounted in it with some driving lights. Regear eventually to 4.10 and put a locker on.

Where's the locker gonna go? Front or rear?

if I won the lottery I would build the ultimate XJ expedition vehicle. I would shoot for six hundred mile range very comfortable and still a daily driver.

I think a straight 5 or 6 cyl turbo diesel would be pretty sweet in an XJ.

Sounds good. Just gonna put my input about something if you don't mind. Monstaliner would not be great thing to put on the bottom of your doors. I have monstaliner. It's okay. Still on the hood and fenders but not the bottom of the doors or rockers. I'd advise getting it PROFESSIONALY done. This is if you wheel it. If it stays on the street then it'll be fine man. Ill take pics if mine later. Horrible lol. All these DIY brands are not as tough as they seem. They work but compared to real Bedliner it's junk. I have speed liner on my bumper. Instead of chipping like monstaliner it stays together. Also monstaliner scratches which defeats the whole purpose of Bedliner but whatever. I've had to redo monstaliner twice now and if I would have done it right and got it done i would have actually saved money. If you sand it all down and tape it off, you can take it to a dealership and get it done for a decent price and you'll never worry. Not hating but want you to think it through. (Also yes I did prep everything right) lol I did my bumper and that turned out great.

That's what I'm going for is an expedition Cherokee. Rust is catching up though...
