Default What length coax cable for a CB?

Kind of a last minute question... Bout to buy my Antenna & coax cable, but not sure on the length???

Im planning on mountin the CB by the front passengers legs on the center console & mounting the Antenna in the rear off the passenger tail light...

What length should I get???

my grandfather was a truck driver for 30 something years and he knows a few things about cb radios, he used to have a wholesaler account with cobra. anyways he says that the best length to get is an 18 foot coax even if you have to coil the extra length up. but in an xj if you mount the antenna in the rear there isnt too much to roll up

18 feet is ideal, but whatever you do, you need to get it in a multiple of 3. IE 3,6,9,12,15,18,21. It is a lot easier to tune that way and keep your standing wave down.
