I was just wondering how other people did on their first trip wheeling. I for example did not do so good second day I had it got it stuck in mud on first trip it is a 5 speed and this was my 3rd day driving it so was unable to rock it so good. Took 4 hours to get unstuck after calling a buddy of mine 2 hours away. Has stock gears, and just a lift and some worn down 34" Superswampers I thought I had the "baddest" jeep ever thought nothing could stop it. The very first mud hole did though!!

Don't remember that far back but it was a 78 Bronco that used more gas than oil. Mostly rode trails and hit mud holes back then so I'm sure I buried it.

Blew the transmission in my PowerWagon, I forgot to put it into high range when I got back on the road and scattered the tranny when I put the pedal to the floor.

I had a 88 blazer all stock on bald snow tires. Ended up blowing the tranny my first time out when I thought the best way out of the mud was to romp on it. First time out with my jeep it got high centered on the axles and was stuck for the better part of 6 hours.

i took my old (salvaged titled) cherokee mudding on an all clay road while my friend followed my xj in his 86 accord (both were 5 speed) and he did a spin and planted it into the ditch. i got footage of it stuck in the mud but not of me pulling it out. ironically i have been in 3 crashes on this road (friend puts his zj into the ditch and gets it stuck for 2 hours, the same day that same friend puts his moms pt cruiser in the ditch and gets it stuck, another friend does a 180 in his 96 ford windstar and slams it hard into the ditch.) one of these days ill post the footage of my first trip out. :P

First time I took my 89 Bronco into the sand pit my buddies had their Wranglers out and egged me on to go in and play.

The problem was to get into the sand pit yah had to drive down a steep almost 70 degree 50' slope to get in and yah had to come out the same way.

So after 1/2 hour of peer pressure I drove in,hit some mud holes and then went to drive over to where my buddies were way over on the other side of the pit.

It was pretty flat except for a 3'-4' mound of sand near where they were parked, so I looked at my copilot and said lets hit it figuring we'd just bounce over the thing, well the whole truck jumped about 4' into the air, it was like driving a monster truck.lol

My friends were like "THAT WAS COOL!" I was like yah great...lol
