Default Quick question.. Carpet

Ok i have herculined my interior but would like a lil more cushion in the passanger area.. I dont know whether or not to also get the mass backing.. I dont think it should be necessary but i would to get your guys opinion.. I know the herculiner acts as a sound deaden-er and slightly reduces heat, but how would the comfort feel with the dedliner underneath the carpet??

my interior is fully bedlined just like yours and for "carpet" i just put down mud mats in the front and back seats, the sound or heat doesn't bother me at all but if i did i probably shouldn't be owning a jeep lol... but as far as putting carpet over the bedliner its probably the way jeep should have made these things from the factory. if you want to take the time to do it i know they sell carpet sets somewhere.

well im am getting oem replacement but its to seperate moldings, passenger area and rear deck.. The back im not worried about since tools and other junk is goin back there. and the carpet already has a small layer of mass backing, my real opinion is the thought of another piece of foam collecting water and store it to potentially cause rust or smell issues later.. And just doing the regular carpet it would be much easy to vaccum out the water from the carpet and it should be able to get the water underneath on the bedliner.. Thats how i would see it but not sure if it would work. Also i dont like seeing the gap between all my panels and the floor, to me it looks funny..

i know whatcha mean about the carpet holding water, the carpets rusted out my floors so bad. if you think it is going to be seeing water every now and then i would just leave it bedlined. if you have little ones on the way your probably better off with it considering the messes they're capable of! lol. maybe somebody else can chime in with a better opinion on installing the carpets and which ones to get, i've only ripped them out.
