Default Floor repair question

I am planning on cleaning up my floor and herculining it and have a quick question. What gauge metal should I use to patch any holes?

I am assuming 16 or 18 gauge, just dont want to go to thin and not have any support and dont want to fight with anything too thick.

Thanks

16 gauge should be plenty thick for you floors and not too heavy so the weight wont be overkill

I just finished welding in big patches in my floors with 16g and it is holding up great. I landed on a huge rock on Sunday and all it did was scratch the undercoating off, no dent or anything. And It was not that expensive, I got a 4x8 sheet of 16g cold rolled for 60 bucks.
