Default Painting my XJ

I got my XJ in a paint shed (pics soon) taped up and ready for paint. I just want some tips and any pictures people might have.

The rig is black now. But its so scratched it honestly doesn't even look like battle scars it just looks...awful.

I have bushwackers so I'm painting these too. I'm looking for any matte black or satin black XJ's seeing as that's what color I'm painting mine.

rattle can or ind. spray- your scatches are going to show, if you dont sand them out, run a couple bedliner cans over it before, hides a lot, my heep was shot with a gallon of it, before final black over top

I'm in the process of sanding it down as I write this. I am painting it satin black because flat black looks like primer IMO. The satin Is gonna look great I think.

1 gal. Gloss Black Centuri, and 1 qt. of clear. And use a spray gun. Satins & Flats fade fairly fast in the sun. And can't be matched. Should you need to repair somthing. In the future. Or want to sell it. JMO!

So, I sanded it down real good with some 220 got some semi-flat black and the first coat already looks immaculate. The paint is sticking like a champ. Tape Isn't peeling it off, and it looks amazing. I'm gonna add the pics and details to my build thread but thanks to everyone for the advice!
