i have a 2000 xj and the rear door glass, cargo area glass and hatch glass all has factory tint on it and i want to match my front windows to it. i have searched all over this forum and cant find a definite answer. ive read its 20%but i just want to make sure. thanks

 

its hard to match them i tried , best way to add more tind above the factory then u can match them .
some of them like my 2001 has mixd tint its like mirror you can see your face its hard to make the exactly color in the front windows .
this was the best idea to make them match , tried many other things by mixing 2 type of tint to make them match but don't waste your time and money.
see mine its just the exactly same (but its dark you can use lighter tint )

My 91 came with facotry mirrored tint.

ok im a little confused weld3z, you tinted over the factory tint in the rear and then matched the fronts to the rear?

Yes, OEM tint is right around 20%.

I used 27% up front on mine and you can hardly tell the difference. I mean, who's really going to notice?

 

yes , use black tint over the factory so it well never be like mirror then it well be easer to match the front one .
