$200 for my 95 from a customer. Rear axle was toast. $130 later and it was drive able. Got close to 3k into it now with lift, wheels & tires, whole new steering linkage and ball joints

I picked up my 2000 XJ Ltd for $3,600 with 120k on it. Took it into the shop straight away and put about $3,000 into it. B*itch runs and drives like new. Solid rig.

I paid $5,800 for mine in 2005

Biggest expense besides tires was when I had to have her towed to a shop when the crank position sensor decided not to work anymore.

1300$ summer of 2010. white 1998 xj sport. had 150k miles, needs new a/c compressor, heater core, speakers, and hopefully some mods. Ill get a build thread going within the month!
I got mine for $400 with 191,000 showing but was pulled behind an rv for unknown amount. Pulled it out of a field after sitting three years and replaced both calipers and power steering pump and have drove it everyday for the last month. Only wheeled once so far buts it's only the beginning. And it's a 96
