what did you pay for your xj?
'93 XJ 4-Door 4x4 Country... Gave $600 bucks for it and drove it home, then to the woods to test everything out for real...
Flawless tan with wood grain interior, power everything and works great
Few small dings and dents but has no rust anywhere.
249K on the odometer but has a fresh motor, trans and transfer case.
Tight and quiet, drives like new... except when you hit about 55 lol, belt broke in one of the tires...

My '00 XJ (now the trail rig) cost me $10,000 out-the-door, only had 25,xxx miles on the odo when I bought it, and it was in absolutely perfect condition.
My '01 cost me $5,000 this past April '09, only had 94,000 miles on it, and was in absolutely perfect condition too.
Both were great deals here in my area (NY/NJ) at the times of purchase.

i paid 1400 for my 98 and its in perfect condition it had 160 000 miles on it no rust nothing, power everything. the guy i bought it of from was moving across the country and didnt want to bring it with him and he was asking 4000 3 months before.
98 Classic XJ w/ 138k on it for $2900.
Some cosmetic issues (tear in seat, missing hood release pull) and a few classic things I've found fixes on here for (cruddy NSS, passenger window issue), but nothing major. Has a nice small lift & new tires.
3 weeks in and she's runnin' real solid. Another few weeks with some work and I could probably flip her for a tidy profit ... but I won't.
Check the pics.

Paid 3300. a week ago. Bone stock rust free 1998 grocery getter with 138000 on the odo, interior is perfect. so far the only thing I've found is she needed a tune up and a valve cover gasket as well as a trans pan gasket. Lift is in the mail and the money's in the bank for tires and wheels.
$2700 for a 2000 XJ Sport, 5 speed(stocker). BFG AT 235/75x15 tires, great condition.
From what I can tell, hardly seen off road. Underside looks like it did new. lots of miles (205k).
Recent repair on front end suspension by mopar dealer(lots of $$ with receipts).
Documented oil and other fluid changes for by the second owner (58K in 2002).
Typical dings and road wear on paint.
Drives good, both on and off road. So far I feel it's getting around 23 to 26mph on the interstate(65-75mph).
Nothing majorly wrong with it so far, that I have found so far at least
