Mine was free to me. Wife ordered it new in 97...a long time before we were together. I bought her a BMW and she gave me the 10 year old XJ to be my daily driver. I think I have more fun with the Jeep!

Ah these have the older body style I miss. My first two Cherokees were 89 and 93, but up here in salty New England winter the body doesn't last long before rotting to pieces around the rocker panels. On my 89 even the shock mounts rusted right off in the front, and this was with regular washes.
The newer style Cherokees dont rust as bad (none yet on mine) but they look more Soccer-mom. I miss the edginess of the original.

$600 for the 89 I just got, runs but needs the crank sensor replaced as it has a miss and runs kind of rough, replaced the spark plugs as they were pretty bad and its much improved. Seats suck, drivers power window only goes down but the door is pretty trashed as I found out when I took the panel off, probably just replace all the doors with manual ones.
