After one week the exhaust manifold cracked. Noticed as I was inhaling raw exhaust in the McDonald's drivethrough.

I had to rebuild the cooling system and replace leaky freeze plugs. Awesome fun. Later I would have to fix a bunch of rust. She's gettin there, runs awesome and cool now. It's usually a chore to get it up to even 210. I might need a different thermostat..

The old one that I drive every day my wife calls it the "TURD" came from a U-PULLIT. I bought it so we would not mess up a "good vehicle" with the bad weather. I ran good for a couple of days till my wife agreed to ride to Lowe's with me in the snow. When we came out it wouldn't start, after getting a ride home and coming back the next day to get it, all I had to do to fix the problem was raise the switch on the column up and tighten it down so the rod would depress it.

it had a flat tire and needed a battery & alt when I bought it. repaired/replaced those items and began driving it immediately.

Took it home, changed all fluids and did a tune up.

Not a thing the first week..... second week it needed gas and a starter, year later an alternator.

Gas tank, fuel pump, fuel filter, tank grommets, fab up tank straps, air filter, serp belt, alternator and put the hood back on. not bad for sitting for a few years

Bought it at 277,100 miles, put a new water pump, serpentine belt, headlight switch, back up lights, thermostat, front crank seal, front pads and rotors, and tighten flexplate bolts and now I have to have my Bendix 9 ABS pump fixed, also need to fix my power seats and put my glove box lock together (PO took it apart for no reason and then couldn't get it back together). Itll be a little more before everything is in order but $400 for a running driving Jeep is hard to beat.

Oil change, all fluids changed, two reman heads...., oil pump, radiator, new tires, new front brakes and rotors, new tint all around, spark plugs, cleaned nss, rewelded front driver seat, new hid headlights, new door speakers, deck, wiring harnesses sub and amp. Trach bar, oil pan gasket, rear main seal, tranny and motor mounts. New interior led lights. Thats about all the stuff so far ive replaced or added since having my 2000 xj for two years.
