There is a cup holder that hangs off the right side of the center consul, they're hard to find though. I have seen where one guy used a hole saw and cut a hole in the consul lid and then put some sort of cup in the hole to make it look like an actual holder.

Quadratec has them, though your console needs the "notches" on the side for them to work, and while they are designed to be removable they work much better with 2-screws through the top (into the console), just relying on the plastic tabs they tend to fall off when they are heavily loaded (2 cups, or one large cup) you hit a bump. http://www.quadratec.com/products/72151_0101.htm ($40, they've gone up in price alot, I think I paid about $20 for mine a couple years ago).

There is also the kind that goes over the parking brake handle but these tend to get in the way of the handle and prevent the parking brake from being fully engauged: http://www.quadratec.com/products/912035_50.htm

Aftermarket options suck at best. If you're not totally picky about looks go get a 3" reducer PVC pipe. Cut the side out of the bezel around the e-brake and screw it in. Best interior upgrade on an older XJ I've ever done. Fits everything from those big McDonalds cups to water bottles.

I put an 00 console in my 95. I need to cover up a few wholes to make it look better but it is very functional.

I have the ones that hang off the console over the ebrake in my 87.

They do suck, I don't even use them. Not sure why I keep them there, I should ditch them.
