I wanna lock my rear end...what are some good brands and places I could buy them? Also, is it worth it to lock the rear? Should I lock the front??

If you dont know if you should lock your axles, you should do some research and go wheeling...

I would save a bit more and buy a Detroit for the rear, you'll be happier in the long run... No click... No thunk... No problems.

If you want a higher quality locker I guess it has to be the Detroit Lockers. I used them in HP Street/Strip cars with high hp engines, very good locker.

IMHO when I installed Detroit Lockers in the front D30 and rear Chry 8.25 they were the best improvements I had had made. A world of difference in where I could go before in 4WD now I could almost do the same in 2WD. In 4WD it made all the difference in the world to have traction to all 4 wheels at the same time not just 2 anymore.

Key words "if you can afford them". OP, what's your budget, how/where do you wheel, what kind if terrain do you wheel?

Spartans (or auto lockers) best bang for your bucks, just replace spider gears.

Selectable will cost a lot more but be the best of both worlds. Friendly On the Street, great off road. Replaces your carrier, should be done by someone that knows what they are doing.

I got a lightly used ARB for the HP30, full wiring harness, compressor, switches, and a 4.56 R&P for less than $400.

Not too much more than an auto locker, and its a much sturdier setup with the full case.
