The fact it was some unbranded el cheapo jobbie might also be a factor, but wanted to see how it compared with a traditional wire wheel or a flap disc before spending more on something better. My thinking was it'd work as well, but not last so long, as a better quality one. Still need a lot of persuading though.
Got to work and the power locks stopped working again. Walked over to the passenger door and hit the lock button and they worked. Looks like my Passenger door switch is the culprit, will pull it out this weekend and poke at it.

I just worked on that a couple of weeks ago: I removed the passenger side circuit board and resoldered every single connection. Door lock is working great again.
Not that I ever did it, when I had the problem with the door locks just put in a used passenger switch I had lying around (been good ever since),
but am always recommending that guys try to resolder it like you do with the driver's side one to fix window lock problem.
First time I have ever seen a video about the passenger side one though.
I took one apart just for the hell of it.
What I really wanted to see was if you could replace the relays.
But I couldn't figure out how to get the back off and thinking if I tried would just snap everything.
So I gave up real quick.

Finally upgraded my headlamps to LED projectors. I have been very apprehensive due to liking the classic look of the glass ones. These are about 1,000 times better lol. My entire XJ has been converted to LED. I get free bulbs from Sealight so that made it much easier.
Is that one of those D ring mounts that bolts to the rails and under the stabilizer brackets?

Anyway, the reassembly is going well, but slowly. I am working on getting the wiring back routed in the correct places. But I have this one wire that I don't know where it goes. It comes off a bundle under the glove box and is long enough to reach the middle of the dash.

You have to desolder the harness pins from the board to separate them. Not to hard if you've got a desoldering setup. Putting the New Switch Doctor switch into my drivers door was a bad choice. Its falling apart internally.
