I was trying to fix a heat soak type of issue on the wife's WJ 4.0. I took the resonator off the throttle body (to clean the throttle body). The rubber gasket that goes from the resonator to the throttle body crumbled. What exactly is that part called. Google is worthless and I don't want to buy a whole resonator assembly just for the rubber piece.
pic of this resonator? I'm trying to think of what you're referring to.
Finally got Torque pro and tossed my obd2 dongle on the Cherokee. Need to find another one that shuts off when the ignition is off. Checked the emissions status while I was at it, I've put maybe 20 miles on it since the battery died and I replaced it.

Haven't played with it much but awhile ago bought the OBD thing and OBD Fusion.
And mine appears to be powered all the time too.
I vaguely remember a hack to get it to not do that.
Word on the interwebs is that GM part # 24575644 (or a Dorman knockoff) is the same thing and available without buying a whole intake.
Thank you Bluelight, for finding some truth on the internet. I got one of those GM #24575644 parts and it fit perfectly. I'm still not sure what it's called but, it works. Hopefully a quick cleaning of the throttle body and a couple squirts of sea foam will help clear up the heatsoak type of issue (only on hot days after the second start).
Spent probably too much money to replace the stereo in my daily. The sound has been cutting in and out for a while now and has recently just stopped. The headunit works, gets power, can cycle through all the settings and the CD and tape player still work - just no sound.
I'm assuming there's a shorted speaker wire somewhere but why dig through all this just to keep the ancient speakers. I don't want an aftermarket headunit - mostly due to aesthetics and we still have tapes and CDs that we like to listen to - so I bought a rebuilt Chrysler headunit with a modified Bluetooth connector and some Kickers.
I'm no audio guy at all but like the Kicker subwoofer I have in my trail rig. Should be a cool upgrade once I get all the bad wiring fixed.
Forgot to take any photos of the process untill part way thru the install. Headliner Fabric from "Joann's fabric" shop. Very close in color. Glue used was 3M super 77. Project done over 3 days total time about 6 hours.2 screws are left over.
