Bit of a unique case I am. My XJ is just my toy/project. So I only put around 600 miles on the oil since the end of May. Oil was a little over 6 months old. I used Amsoil XL 10W-30 Full Synthetic with a WIX filter.
This oil change I experimented and used Mobil High Mileage 10W-30 Full Synthetic and a Mobil 1 extended performance oil filter.
Can't recommend blackstone enough. They even go over the results with you in a little personalized note, around 7 to 8 sentences.

Mine is a toy as well so I am in the same boat as you. In the 2 months I have owned mine, I am around 125 miles. And most of that was the drive home from buying it. I dont see myself putting over 3000 miles a year on it once its 4wd. Thanks for the info though! I will be sending out a sample to them after my next oil change, so a year or so haha.

Just messed around tinkering. Measured the ride height on all 4 corners, measured the ground clearance. Got the blaster and 40 out and rolled around under the back of the xj squirting everything I think I might need to remove this weekend when I get the bastard pack assembled. I may try to give them another blast Thursday. Hopefully the soaking time helps, I know it helps my old bones. have a great evening.

(WIX explicitly warms against this and will not cover filter-related damage if a filter has been on for more than a year)

Not my Jeep and not today... but MONDAY:
My friend brought over his new-to-him ZJ that we just brought home last Thursday. We bought it knowing that it had a fair amount of issues. One particular issue was that the dome lights wouldn't shut off, so you had to pull a fuse or it would drain the battery. You also couldn't open the rear hatch, and the steering is about SHOT! Literally everything needs to be replaced on the steering.
Fixed the dome light situation by TURNING THEM OFF!!! PO said her friend was working in the back of the Jeep on something and "bumped something" and the lights wouldn't go off. I guess they never thought to push on the rear dome lense on the Jeep she owned for 3 years to turn it off. Pushed on the lense, the lights switched off and that problem was solved. Then we removed the trim panel on the hatch and sure enough, the push rod for the latch had popped off. Put it back on and cinched it down with pliers and now the hatch opens and closes like new.
On to the steering....
-When we test drove it, we noticed TREMENDOUS play in the steering wheel. You could turn your hand from between the 10-11 o'clock position to the 12 o'clock position without any movement of the wheels. I crawled under and inspected it... well, there was play pretty much everywhere, but the most was coming from the drag link.
-Replaced the drag link in the AZ parking lot... there was so much play in the fixed end of that drag link, you could just flick it around with your finger like it was a rubber pencil.
-Tightened up the rest of the bolts on the other links because they were loose. The steering is much firmer now, but still has play in it. The trac bar needs to be replaced because it has play on the frame side. There's a little play in the tie rod so he'll need to replace that, but the biggest culprit is the steering gear box. You can see the output shaft moving back and forth in the housing... lots of slop. Kinda wondering if the case isn't broken with how much PS fluid is leaking.
-Power steering pump was overfull when we were checking fluids. So time will tell on that one.
TL;DR - don't wanna read it, don't read it.
But seriously though, my buddy paid 900 bucks for a 4wd V8 ZJ with a 3" lift and 33" tires. We know it's gonna be a project - but MAN the thing has *****!
