Well...just got this xj 2 door. Both rear quarter glasses were busted out and I was going to start removing interior trim panels only to discover that the rear hatch release wasn't working. Spent the next 3 hours working to remove the rear hatch inner panels with the hatch closed and trying not to bust up the 30 year old plastic trim.....A lot of time and patience and got the latch released. That was enough for me today. Being 6' 1" tall, I was plum exhausted from the crawling around in the back of the xj. lol

Give it a solid tap with your fist about 4-6" to the right of the handle, at the same time that you pull the handle
Put on a starter on the parts MJ, poured little gas in the tank, and since it don't have any battery, I simply put jumper cables on the battery terminals and hooked it up to my other MJ, and got it to started up. Now I know it's running, I feel better about keeping it. Lol.
I installed an IRO hack n tap SYE.. rather easy. I will have photos-Videos tomorrow. I will do some more adjustments and take pics of my project to date as I have put several weeks into it over the last month or 2. Been one project onto the next..
I finished fabricating some new sway bar end links. My old ones rotted out and broke from getting sanded and salted non stop through the year. I live on a dirt road so my jeep is constantly getting mud and dust on it.
So here is a picture of one of the new ones i made last week.
Thanks "newkindofclown" for the hatch door release trick. Today, found an old s-10 sitting by a house, went to the door and inquired about it for the rear springs, the guy told me if i'd haul it off, i could have it and the title. bargin for sure. was trailering it home and stopped for fuel, guy came up and asked if it was for sale. i told him it was minus the rear leaf springs that i needed for a bastard pack for the xj. He said he would give me $500 for it, minus the leaf springs. DEAL. took it to his garage and he even removed the springs and shocks, loaded them back on the trailer and handed me 5 hundred dollar bills. Even a blind hog finds an acorn every now and then. now for some rough country front suspension parts, FREE to me. have a blessed day fellows.
Reversed the Shims to accommodate for the new SYE now finally have gotten rid of ALL drive line vibration-noise.. FINALLY .. .YEAH.. Still havent uploaded pics.. Also bought a 97Grand Cherokee for 500$ for the wife has a possible valve lash problem prob due to the problematic 4.0 heads.. I have another 4.0 I picked up for 175$ from a Salvage yard that ran great before it was pulled so looks like that project is soon to be coming up..
Took the 93 XJ for a good drive last night just to check the suspension, brakes, steering, etc. Needs a few things but was great on gas, shifted smooth and has good power.
I forgot how bad stock headlights suck. H4 and Putco harness are getting installed asap.
I threw a 2" BB on over the weekend. Just shackles and pucks. I was relieved to get the job completed without breaking anything. A lot of blaster, heat, and patience got the job done. Will be replacing the packs and shocks all around in the next week or two. Also looks like I need to replace the front axle U joints soon... so adding that to the list.
