She's come a long way from being completely stock.... had to get away from fancy aluminum wheels and went with steelies and welded on rock rings. Next are 2x6 rockers (maybe mini boatsides).
Oil change. And just curious, what do y'all prefer, Wix or Mopar filter?
WIX. It is a little cheaper and easier to find than my real preference, Baldwin. Now and then one can find some good clearance deals on Mobil 1 filters.
She's a factory naked-roof xj. You really dont see too many of them. 98 SE manual windows and locks but she came with cruise, air, power mirrors and a tilt wheel!
Finally got around to installing the battery tray I just bought from DirtBound, the battery cable kit from XJWonders, and a new AGM battery from Fleet Farm. They are made by East Penn who makes Deka batts, which I've heard nothing but good about. Figured I'd give it a try for half the price of an Odyssey or Optima.
Surgery Backstory: had a vibration going on for about a year (dumb I know) took it to 4 wheel parts today to get an alignment and also check the vibration, because I was stumbled. I added shims to my rear axle and adjusted my upper and lower control arms on the front axle to bring pinion angle closer without affecting caster; I did this before I took it in to the shop. Everything seemed to work but only a really small difference. Come to find out it's my SYE, the driveshaft was backing out because the transfer case output bolt was not torqued to spec. Just gonna order a new SYE, if everything in the t-case checks out.
