Attended the 11th annual TriCityJeepClub Show n Shine.
As the Peep is looking very rough from the ravages of Canadian winter, I am preparing a cut and weld makeover with shome parts upgrade. I hadn't removed my small dia snow tires and didn't want to change out all the tires for a 1 day show. Just went at it with the pressure washer and blew off 5 lb of muck and 10 lb of rust. I told my wife I'd be in line for the Rat Rod Jeep award, lololol.
Arrived early, they positioned me right up front at the entrance to the show, the only XJ to be in the field of over 60 Jeeps. Still had a lot of interested questions about the Peep from the crowds. 756500 km does draw some interest.
So I had to do at least one event, wondered how my small 27" tires would do on the RTI ramp? Scored a 480/1000.
Well a great day with a great group. Some prizes and awards at the events end.
Hey wait, the Peep is being called up for an award? Wow my reach to the stars run at the RTI ramp drew some notice. Yup, secured the available award closest to the Rat Rod category for a Jeep show, selected by a panel of judges, "Most in Need of a Lift", lolololol
Just wait to next year, a revamped Peep XJ will rule that event!!!

Lift Me, Please
Sorry, forgot the ever important Pic.
By a panel of knowledgeable judges (note: All Wrongler Wheelers), and a magnanimous score of 480/1000 on the RTI ramp: Jeep Most in Need of a Lift.

Finally got around to installing the battery tray I just bought from DirtBound, the battery cable kit from XJWonders, and a new AGM battery from Fleet Farm. They are made by East Penn who makes Deka batts, which I've heard nothing but good about. Figured I'd give it a try for half the price of an Odyssey or Optima.

AC wasn't quite keeping up on the 95+ degree days so I gave it a little top off. 50/300 on the gauges after a small can of refrigerant. Blowing ice cold now.
Also, got my black stone lab oil report back. Looks like my misfire on 3&4 is most likely a cracked head. Time to start putting money aside and doing research for a head swap. Not psyched.
My coolant temps are super solid and i only ever have to add coolant like 1-2 times a year. I'm gonna do another oil test too.
