Did the ole old engine out and newer engine in thing. This was not a fun day! Those two torx head bolts on top of the transmission are a pain. Do not want to do that again anytime soon but, have to say she is purring like a kitten now and quite as a church mouse as compared to the knockin, piston slappin noise she was makin.

Fought that battle before. Hopefully you replaced with hex head bolts. I wanna kick the engineers in the ***** who made that decision. Metric, metric, everywhere until we got to the hardest damn spot to access.
Salad, Cruiser why did they do that?

No idea, ask Clown.

(probably because more points are easier to grab onto when new)

I put mine back in. Easy peasy, when done the proper way. Use lots of extensions and a trans jack, and Bob's your uncle...

Worked on my hybrid 231j/c, after fighting snaprings with terrible snap ring pliers, i finally got to the re assembly stage

All in all thes getting these:

-np231c 1.25" wide chain and gears

All the internal were to my suprise in strangly good shape.

Well after nearly 4 years I took the snow plow off and said goodbye to my Jeep. It did me good with what I paid for her and what I had into her I made $1000 when I sold her. Buy cheap sell high. So no longer having a Jeep I may be signing off this site.
