It can depend on the state and policy. In Alaska, insurance will wave the deductible for chip repair, but not for windshield replacement. Since a windshield replacement was below my deductible, they didn't pay anything on it. I did get a small discount from Safelite by scheduling through Geico though.

Some states (or some counties in a few other states) by law have no deductible for windshield replacement. South Carolina is one such state. In some states, that only applies with comprehensive coverage, and not with liability only coverage.

Put the wheels back on and dropped it off the jacks - first time in two months it has been all four on the floor. Also aligned the toe in.

Tomorrow reinstall the track bar (had redrill the bottom mount) and hopefully tighten up the control arms.

Then maybe Friday adjust the caster, Saturday check the coil pack to see whether it or the CPS is shot.

WTF? -- Do you ppl have full coverage insurance on 18 - 25 year old vehicles?

Lol - your insurance cost more than new windshields!
hope it's not more that $300/year -- If so, ya need to get it cheaper, and use the difference to buy your windshield!

- Me?
I thought about my custom steering-knuckle lights, but it was too wet out to work on, so I drove to the store for food!

Man that's a sweet WJ... I really miss ours but those stupid steel valve seats they put on the earlier 4.7s really screwed me over. I'm hoping to find a Freedom edition one day. Don't judge me but I really like the whole package along with the cladding, the "special" grille and the "rock rails" that it comes with.

I think ill just get new 31s this summer lol. And a real mans lift and not BB. And D44a(yes the D44a, not real man iron 44 but still a lil better than turdy-5 and LS too) rear axle. And any rare items I can score on at JYs like 5.9 parts and tire carrier and..And.. And.. And.. Thanks for the input!
lol... any time man... yeah you could probably craigslist those 245s for about a hundo and put that towards a good set of 31s. As far as that D44a goes, it's not a terrible axle. As long as you're not dragging it across rocks, you should be fine. My WJ had a D44a in it along with a factory LSD - which made having a 2wd jeep all the more capable!

Actually the monthly difference in full coverage w/ $250 deductible for BOTH vehicles on my insurance is a whopping $15 a month difference. My wife's car is a 2000 and my Jeep is a '92. 15 bucks a month is a small price to pay for a complete replacement of a stolen or totaled vehicle.

However, once we have a larger savings account built up, we'll be dropping the full coverage. Only have about 1500 right now.

I keep full coverage on everything. I got $7k when I rolled my XJ, $3k+ for my Comanche that I paid $600 for. I've had the glass replaced for free in my last five vehicles. And I live in an area with a lot of uninsured drivers.

Had way too much fun in the first snow fall of the year. Donuts, drifting, scaring the GF, etc. Good times. The MTZs perform much better than I expected.
