Over the weekend I put in a new to me C8.25 that had been rebuilt with all new bearings, new gears 4.10, and a powertrax installed. So far I'm really liking it.

It has JK Moabs and taller tires on it now, but these got me through inspection
That's such a clean-looking WJ, those look so nice when they're not beat to crap.

I guess the parking lot of Oriellys was a good spot to pull my rearview mirror and a chunk of glass off

I found out my track bar bodyside mount is moving side to side. Had to replace the front bolt because it snapped off during my lift. Replaced it with a 1/2" bolt, but I wonder if it needs to be a 3/4". The rear bolt won't tighten anymore than it is, still has 1/4" of threads left to turn in. Im afraid to tighten it down at all because it might snap.

Default Shock and leaf mounts

I decided to start my lift kit and ended up only getting one leaf spring off.
Things I did:
-Snapped both shock mounts off (will be drilling them out and replace)
-Bought an angle grinder
-Ground off both leaf spring mounts
-Ground off shackle
-Ordered new shackles

Happened to me too a couple months ago, only I was adjusting my mirror and it happened. Technically the whole windshield is compromised at that point. I called my insurance and found out it was covered, only had a deductible of $100.

lucky you. My insurance wouldn't cover anything less than $500. Guess how much my deductible is... $500 lol. A windshield install cost $300 around here.

The guy said he could try repairing it, but there was no guarantee that it wouldn't completely crack on him while he does the repair. So I opted for a replacement. Geico is very good about glass. And some policy's don't even have to pay a cent.

My insurance covers glass. You could try calling yours. I know Florida requires good glass. Even a scratch will get you a ticket
