You don't need a write up. Step 1. Mark where you want it cut. I did it with tape. 2. Cut. 3. Fill your gaps with sheet metal. I used the door skin I cut off. 4. don't look back. Lol
Leaking evaporator. I decided to buy the heater core and blower motor as well since we would be in there and this was the heater core when my buddy pulled it. I am glad I enlisted professional help, doing this blind would have been too much for me I think. My buddy is an ASE master mechanic of 20 years so he has done a few of these to say the least.
Indeed I did but when I got them they were in rough shape. I fixed a lot of it. Cut them down more to straighten out the cuts and added the door skin that I cut out of the inside of it. And I couldn't weld mine too well. I tacked in a bunch of places but even on the lowest setting, my welder burned through

Ahhh I gotcha. Sounds like what I had to do with bumper. I put in so much time fixing the problems on it that I could have made my own.
I could get 500$ worth of fun out of it in the woods. Beat the crap out of it, or find a shell for 500$ or less and have 1000$ xj. (that's a lot of work)
