After accidentally leaving my hazard lights on, the Jeep wouldn't start on one of the coldest day. To make a long story short, after three failed jumps from three different sources and the Jeep finally getting towed out of a highly questionable area in the Bronx, I wound up getting a new battery (850 CCA) with dual terminals to accommodate all the electronics. So far so good!
No, I don't lick fish.
Nice!!!! Where'd you snag that at?

I replaced my Auto Zone water pump. It was installed less than 2 years ago as preventive maintenance. Pictured here is the oem impeller (that i removed) and the autozone version. Beware if you installed one of these! My symptoms started as lack of heat. At first it would warm up (the heat) if revved up , for some reason it never overheated.
Imagine my surprise when flushing the heater core yielded ZERO results. I knew it couldn't be the water pump, but I ran out of options and finally checked it

When my XJ started having a bad miss at about 2,000 rpms. We decided to do an Accel tune-up kit (using the cheap Champion copper plugs instead of the Accel plugs that came with it). Plus we did an Accel super coil. When we pulled the Dist. cap two of the contacts were worn completely away so it was only getting full contact to four cylinder wires. So that was the culprit, but with the tune-up we did it is running better than ever.
We changed my sons injectors on his 1rst. XJ with the 703"s and I regretted it. I won't to it on mine or his new one. I figure if it is running good, I won't mess with it.

Cleaned the IAC and TB today...some preventative maintenance while the weather is nice before returning below freezing.
Quick question though. While I continue to look for my Manual that got up and walked off, does anyone know if the "cooling fan 40A" is suppose to be missing fuse along with the other spots?
